Front/backend design and implementation of web apps. From scientific utilities to startups. Westarete practices agile development, pair programming, TDD, BDD, weekly iterations, and all developers work very closely with clients (hinge/anchor). An active speaker at the State College Ruby Group Meetup. Contribute to open source projects such as the Karma Server.

A living experiment featuring refusal of a home for 4 months. The Goal is to establish true resourcefulness, to strip material want, increase focus on ideas/projects, lose fear of failure, and to have interesting stories to pass down to my children.

Hired to solely research, design, and build a rear vehicle object detection system prototype. Using a PLC, ladder language, sonar sensor and LEDS, It was designed, built, and completed in three weeks for movement to production. Personal Goal; to understand physical product design with software function requirements.

A computer consulting firm for small business. Began at age of 19 with $50 in pocket and starting from scratch, It grew to 48 active clients and 4 hired contractors in 6 months (over 150 clients served total). Clients ranged in size of 5 to 20 employees. The project was suspended after deciding to go back to school in pursuit of software interests.
